Mission

The mission of the Information Services & Technology department is to provide leadership in both tactical & strategic planning, implementation and maintenance of information systems in a timely, high-quality, cost-effective manner to all clients of county government.


Divisions

IS&T is organized into five divisions: Enterprise Systems & Operations, Enterprise Systems Applications, IS&T Business Administration, Enterprise Security, and Technology Services, Strategy and Planning.

The Enterprise Systems & Operations division manages the core technology infrastructure that supports daily operations of IT systems (data center, data networking, network security, servers, databases and storage platforms). The division also includes support functions such as the IT service desk which is responsible for day-to-day support of personal computer hardware and PC software, and the coordination of live applications across agencies inside and outside County government.

The Enterprise Systems Applications division administers and develops software systems that automate, integrate, and support the county business operations and processes.  

The IS&T Business Administration division delivers Project Management Office guidance and support for enterprise technology initiatives; Change Management leadership; IS&T Budget and Finance management; User training and marketing of IS&T business process improvement and IT security measures; and IS&T organization development efforts.  

The Technology Services, Strategy and Planning division manages web development services; data analytics and governance; technology strategy as well as the joint County/City Open Data program.  This division applies broad knowledge of product/service capabilities to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product/service opportunities to drive IS&T vision of digital government.  

The Enterprise Security division is responsible for maintaining and improving information security across the county.  This division ensures compliance with Federal and State information security requirements.
